IT Admin

Location: Remote Duration: Part time role The Position As our first dedicated IT Administrator, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining our internal IT infrastructure. You'll be responsible for day-to-day support, system administration, security compliance, and IT onboarding/offboarding for employees across Canada, and potentially international locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on, multi-functional environments, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to build IT processes from the ground up in a fast-moving software company.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide daily helpdesk support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in key systems (Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software licenses
• Oversee device provisioning, shipping, and asset tracking

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain security protocols (MFA, device encryption, patching)
• Support compliance readiness (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) in partnership with external consultants or Security/HR leads
• Monitor endpoint protection and proactively manage vulnerabilities

Systems Administration

• Manage SaaS tools and integrations (SSO, provisioning, admin consoles)
• Automate workflows and onboarding processes where possible
• Collaborate with leadership to develop IT policies and procedures

Employee Lifecycle Support

• Handle IT onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departures
• Set up accounts, access, and hardware for new team members
• Provide remote training or documentation on tool usage and best practices

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Slack, Zoom, and similar tools
• Working knowledge of device management (e.g., Intune, Kandji, JAMF, or equivalents)
• Familiarity with security practices (MFA, VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection)
• Comfort supporting Windows and Mac environments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter who can operate independently and collaboratively in a remote-first/hybrid environment

Education

An undergraduate degree or diploma from a well-regarded post-secondary school is preferred
