The hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its established clinical team. This role offers a broad and rewarding caseload, with the opportunity to provide preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, day hospitalization, and ongoing case management.

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care and supporting the continued growth of a productive, high-quality hospital.

Responsibilities may include:

• Performing physical examinations
• Diagnosing and treating medical conditions
• Providing preventative care based on patient lifestyle, signalment, and environment
• Developing complete problem lists and diagnostic plans
• Interpreting diagnostic results and creating treatment plans
• Documenting clinical findings, treatments, medications, and client communications
• Performing routine and more complex surgical procedures
• Performing routine and advanced dental procedures
• Evaluating dental radiographs
• Managing day hospitalization cases
• Coordinating referrals or overnight care where required
• Participating in doctor rounds
• Sharing knowledge with the wider hospital team
• Supporting a positive client and patient experience

Caseload

The hospital provides comprehensive small animal care, including:

• Internal medicine
• Dentistry
• Dental radiography
• Simple and complex extractions
• Soft tissue surgery
• Spays and neuters
• Client education and treatment planning

Compensation

Base salary from $140,000–$200,000 + production

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university
• NAVLE
• ECFVG or PAVE if attended a non-AVMA-accredited university
• Eligibility to practise in California
