Lead Low Voltage Cabling Technician

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Job Type: Full-Time

We are currently hiring a skilled Lead Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support and manage commercial cabling installations throughout the Myrtle Beach area. The ideal candidate will have experience leading crews, installing structured cabling systems, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications.

• Supervise and assist cabling technicians on active job sites
• Install and terminate low voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic systems
• Conduct cable testing, troubleshooting, and system certification
• Interpret construction drawings, cable layouts, and technical schematics
• Coordinate daily workflow and delegate assignments to field technicians
• Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and industry codes
• Maintain accurate labeling, reporting, and project documentation
• Communicate with project managers, contractors, and clients regarding progress updates
• Enforce job site safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level technicians

• Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling or low voltage installation
• Previous leadership or crew management experience preferred
• Knowledge of copper and fiber optic installations and testing methods
• Familiarity with ANSI/TIA standards and commercial cabling practices
• Ability to read blueprints and technical construction documents
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation
• Physically capable of lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working overhead

• Experience with commercial construction environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Myrtle Beach, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
