Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000 per year

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Storage Admin with strong hands-on expertise in enterprise mainframe storage systems, replication, disaster recovery, storage utilities, and operational support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mainframe storage environments and supporting high-availability and resilient infrastructure.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000 and IBM TS7780 .
Strong experience with Hitachi HUR .
Experience with DFSMS suite and CA-1 .
Strong knowledge of FDR/ABR .
In-depth knowledge of SMP/E to perform installation work for ISV products.
Experience setting up and managing Mainframe DC Storage Replication .
Strong knowledge of IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM .
Experience with Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning .
Experience maintaining PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation .
Experience setting up Disaster Recovery environments and conducting DR drills .
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in mainframe storage environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 operational support for mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
Manage and maintain enterprise mainframe storage infrastructure.
Perform mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience .
Configure and manage storage replication for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Participate in DR planning, setup, testing, and drills .
Perform SMP/E installation and maintenance activities for ISV products.
Manage and maintain PARMLIB and PROCLIB configurations and concatenations.
Support IODF/IOCDS and HCD/HCM-related activities.
Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and tuning of mainframe storage environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe storage-related incidents and operational issues.
Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams as needed.
Participate in on-call support for mainframe storage-related issues and troubleshooting.
Ensure storage infrastructure meets availability, performance, recovery, and resilience requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong enterprise mainframe storage administration background.
Experience working in large-scale production environments.
Strong understanding of storage replication and disaster recovery concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and participate in an on-call rotation.
