Project Manager - Data Center Construction Reports To: Senior Project Manager Location: Santa Teresa, New Mexico Salary Range: $106,500 to $160,000 Eligibility: This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan. Primary duties involve working on-site at the project location or in office. Travel frequency and duration vary depending on the role and project timeline. Final determination of starting pay will vary based on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. The listed pay scale is generally for candidates meeting the specified qualifications. THE DATA CENTER TEAM We build mission‑critical data centers throughout the U.S. to ensure crucial information accessed by millions of people is always available and secure. CEI has designed, installed, and commissioned over 20 million square feet of data center space, supporting more than 4 GW of electrical systems—including infrastructure for AI‑driven technologies. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Construction Project Manager you will oversee day‑to‑day operations of construction projects and successfully manage a high‑performing team. You will plan, execute, and control the financial performance of your projects, aligning with our values of people, safety, integrity, innovation, and excellence. Lead projects from qualification through closeout, ensuring all contractual agreements are met safely and within budgets and timeframes. Establish project execution plans and provide scheduling and coordination, collaborating with the Superintendent and field team to meet timelines. Identify risks and develop recovery action plans. Manage project financials: review and approve invoices, track budget variance, job cost, and productivity, and report on financial performance. Negotiated change orders. Serve as key point of contact with customers and end‑user owners, managing relationships and sourcing new opportunities. Develop a high‑performance team, providing mentorship and training for growth. ABOUT YOU You possess dynamic leadership and management skills to drive positive outcomes. You are knowledgeable in estimating, cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting for electrical construction projects. Experience with union workforces, labor rate calculations, and collective bargaining agreements is essential. You have a history of leading teams and a passion for developing employees to their full potential. As a Project Manager, you will manage CEI’s projects in line with financial parameters, timelines, and specifications to optimize revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, plus any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred. Licensure/Certifications: None required. Experience: Five (5) years in electrical construction or related activities in a leadership role managing multi‑million‑dollar projects. Five (5) years managing people and projects within the commercial, utility, alternative energy, or data center markets. Driving Record: Valid state‑issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. *Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
