Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes. Engage in a collaborative team setting to deliver compassionate, timely treatment to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Administer treatments, including port placements, chest tubes, and other procedures per protocol.
• Monitor patient status continuously, utilizing equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, and arterial lines.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans and ensure efficiency.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety guidelines, and COVID-19 protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of emergency department experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; CPI and de-escalation training preferred.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a high-pressure setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused, team-oriented attitude.
• Demonstrated competency in using medical equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, and EKGs.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.
