Lead Civil Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective civil and structural design strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
• Prepare scope of work, technical specifications, and detailed drawings for bid packages.
• Engage with suppliers and contractors to resolve construction and design issues efficiently.
• Provide field support, troubleshooting, and evaluation of existing civil and structural systems during project execution.
• Define project scopes, prepare estimates, and execute structural designs for foundations, supports, pipe racks, modular skids, and platforms.
• Review RFIs and submittals, ensuring timely responses and compliance.
• Participate in final design coordination meetings and approve modifications.
• Conduct site walk-downs to verify proper installation and adherence to design specifications.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing EH&S regulations and standards.
• Support proposal development, including material and labor estimates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in gas treatment and/or natural gas structural design.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills for client and vendor interactions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior staff.
• Knowledge of current codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Preferred: Direct experience interfacing with clients and vendors.
• Must be willing to work in-office at our headquarters in Katy, TX, Monday through Friday.
