IT Infrastructure Project Engineer - MSP

We’re looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead technical delivery of client‑facing projects. You’ll work on everything from Microsoft 365 and Azure implementations to network upgrades and server deployments. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving real‑world problems for diverse clients. This position is about 75% remote (work from home) and 25% in‑person. Since we meet in person with clients and each other regularly, this role is only for those who live in the Houston area. What You’ll Do Lead infrastructure projects including: Microsoft 365 implementations and migrations Azure cloud deployments and hybrid configurations Network upgrades, firewall installations, and VPN setups Server builds, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), and Active Directory redesigns Collaborate with clients and internal teams to scope, design, and document solutions Provide Tier 3/4 support and serve as technical escalation for complex issues Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements Ensure smooth handoffs to our support and consulting teams post‑project What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in an MSP or IT consulting environment is required. Experience deploying and supporting datacenter technologies, including Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), containerization (Kubernetes), storage systems (FC, iSCSI), and server operating systems. Experience with cloud implementations and migrations, particularly Azure and Microsoft 365. Experience configuring networking technologies including firewalls, switches, wireless, and routers. Scripting and automation experience in customer environments is required. Industry certifications such as AZ‑104, MS‑100/101, Network+, CCNA are valued.
