Hire Ventures is a boutique Human Resources consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta. We specialize in providing fractional, project-based, and advisory HR support to small and medium-sized companies. Since 2001, we have been helping businesses navigate the complexities of HR and recruiting, with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent in an ever-changing world.

Our services are more ideal than ever for companies that may have human resource or recruiting needs but may not have their own full-time resource and given this growth, we are adding to our North Atlanta-based Human Resource Consulting team. This position requires the ability to work during normal business hours, on our client sites and will be 20-30 hours per week. This is not a side hustle and candidates working other full-time jobs, or those out of the area, will not be considered.

The ideal person for this role will be a proven self-starter who is passionate and experienced in various areas of Human Resources, ideally, someone who has worked in a solo HR role responsible for foundational areas of HR like employee relations, benefits administration, 401k admin, onboarding and offboarding and being the face of HR for a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

• Providing exceptional HR support to our clients and delivering in various areas of the employee life cycle, acting as an extension of the client to help with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave management and employee exiting.
• This role will handle transactional HR work for our clients, specifically processing payroll, 401k administration, benefits administration, processing leave requests, new hire onboarding and employee terminations or off boarding.
• Completing HR-related project work such as updating or creating Employee Handbooks, conducting HR audits, supporting HR investigations, and improving internal HR processes.
• HR is complex, and our clients have employees across multiple states so you’ll need to stay up to date on the latest HR practices to ensure compliance with various state and federal employment law.
• Must be comfortable working collaboratively with our clients' internal team, external provides (brokers and vendors) and the Hire Ventures team.

What we are looking for:

• Candidates must have the capacity to work during normal business hours - hours may be flexible, however, this is not a side hustle, and candidates working a full-time job or working in a competing role will not be considered.
• This position requires being on-site with our Alpharetta clients 2+ days per week and will offer hybrid and remote flexibility.
• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or relevant and equivalent experience
• HR Certification is a plus.
• Must be a problem solver and be comfortable using various HR systems, platforms and resources tools
• Must have 3+ years of progressive and relevant HR experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, be motivated, articulate and make sound decisions under the position guidelines - in a positive, results-driven and forward-thinking manner.
• Should have an active presence in the professional world, especially LinkedIn.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the following:

• Ability to communicate with a variety of people in a polite and professional manner, with high attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, business writing knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of human resources either from courses or working experience.
• Must be coachable and have a strong desire to learn with a growth mindset and love of technology.
• Be a good team player yet able to work independently with little instruction or supervision and with a high degree of trust.
