Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20 hours.Compensation:Earn an average of $16.00-$19.00 per hour. A combination of base hourly pay and sales commission. Ability to earn more based on performance plus GREAT associate discount on in store purchases.Responsibilities:Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shopDeliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit CardGrow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experienceCreate a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasingMaintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restockingAbility to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ftAttend all required Scheels product training and all store meetingsAssist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertiseAbility to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership teamEducation & Experience:The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 months of sales experiencePhysical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates.
