Control Panel Technician

Control Panel TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing electrical control panels and industrial control systems. This position requires strong attention to detail, electrical knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and wire electrical control panels according to electrical drawings and specificationsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layoutsInstall breakers, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, PLC components, VFDs, and other electrical componentsPerform point-to-point wiring and ensure proper labeling and wire routing.Inspect completed panels for quality, accuracy, and workmanshipTest and troubleshoot control panels and electrical systemsIdentify wiring errors, electrical faults, and component issues and make necessary correctionsUse hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow company safety procedures, electrical codes, and quality standardsWork with engineers and other technicians to resolve electrical and control-system issuesQualificationsPrevious experience as a Control Panel Technician, Electrical Technician, Panel Builder, or similar roleAbility to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagramsKnowledge of industrial electrical components and control systemsExperience with PLCs, VFDs, relays, contactors, and control transformers is preferredAbility to use a multimeter and other electrical test equipmentStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsGood attention to detail and ability to work independentlyAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsOSHA/safety training and electrical certifications are a plusAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periodsAbility to lift and move electrical components and equipment as requiredAbility to work safely in a manufacturing or industrial environment
