Support Services Associate I - Women & Children's Shelter

The Support Services Associate I will be responsible for maintaining facility safety, order, and cleanliness and will provide backup assistance to other staff.

Scheduled: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM 

Starting Pay: $21.30

How you will serve 

• Perform janitorial duties, including duties left over from a different shift.
• Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Perform random and frequent walks through the entire interior of the building. Record evening report in the staff log at the end of each shift.
• Do occasional room checks or searches as needed.
• Assist with a variety of administrative duties.
• Act as backup to Guest Services by performing Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens for individuals entering the building after curfew or returning from the hospital.
• Handle office telephones and monitor incoming people.
• Record and organize messages for clients and staff.
• Provide referrals for callers when necessary.
• Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the Mission’s success.

How you qualify 

• Acknowledge and sign the Mission's Statement of Faith (see below).
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer Services experience is highly preferred.
• Previous janitorial experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily working in a temperature-controlled environment. Required to frequently stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Frequently lift up to 30 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the building.
