Job Title
Essential Functions
- Food preparation: Cooking patties, fries, chicken strips and other food preparation tasks
- Food safety: Following food safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and food-borne illnesses
- Kitchen cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized
- Waste reduction: Helping to reduce waste
- Health department regulations: Ensuring all health department regulations are met
- Attention to detail: Paying close attention to detail
- Teamwork: Working well with others
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)
Work Environment Indoors They often work early mornings, late evenings, weekends Physical Demands
- Lifting over 20lbs Standing: Working in a kitchen often involves standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting: BOH staff may need to lift heavy pots, pans, and other items, such as boxes of chicken or patties.
- Bending: BOH staff may need to bend frequently to reach items in low places.
- Repetitive motions: BOH staff may need to perform repetitive motions with their hands, fingers, and wrists.
- Working in different temperatures: BOH staff may need to work in spaces with varying temperatures.
Operating equipment: BOH staff may need to safely operate grills, ovens, slicers, and other equipment. Required Schedule 8a.m. to close (closing time may vary)
