Experienced Material Handler

Our client, a major automotive company, is seeking Experienced Material Handlers to join their team in Greer, SC. As an Experienced Material Handler, you will be part of the manufacturing and warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Experienced Material Handler
Location: Greer, SC
Pay Range: $26.00/hr. and $0.50/hr. shift differential
Shifts available: 1 st Shift : 6:00am – 2:30pm, 2 nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm and 3 rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am
What’s the Job?

• Effectively performs in all areas of operations supporting the engineered fuel Program
• Ability to perform duties with minimal direct supervision
• Understand and follow procedures & processes
• Recognize various container size & type
• Recognize labels & markings
• Ability to utilize systems to create processing paperwork or labels
• Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.) using mechanical or manual means
• Use a variety of hand power tools
• Transport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Inspection material handling equipment as directed.
• Ability to operate all equipment proficiently in primary wind blade process.
• Occasionally direct and oversee small teams to accomplish production targets.
• Operate and maintain REM process efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of experience working in a similar environment
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to communicate through reading and writing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to be trained to use material handling equipment
