Engineer better motion with PBC Linear

PBC Linear designs and builds high-precision linear motion solutions for customers around the world. We’re adding a Process Optimization Engineer (mid-level, Level 2 equivalent) to elevate quality, throughput, and consistency across our manufacturing operations.

A week in this role

• Engineer and roll out process improvements that lift efficiency and first-pass yield for linear motion components and assemblies.
• Run multiple projects in parallel, sequencing activities and resources to hit aggressive milestones.
• Diagnose production bottlenecks and resolve equipment or process issues to reduce downtime.
• Partner with product design, quality, and EHS teams to align manufacturability, compliance, and safety.
• Create, refine, and maintain production documentation—work instructions, SOPs, and related standards.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing setting; background in linear motion or precision parts preferred.
• Proven continuous improvement mindset with implemented innovations on the floor.
• Project management chops to balance conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with CAD and modern manufacturing systems; Lean Six Sigma a plus.

Compensation

Target base pay: 75,000 USD to 115,000 USD. This good-faith range reflects consideration of multiple experience levels. Final offers account for role scope and responsibilities, your experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
