Candidates selected may be asked to teach a variety of courses in the program, including, but not limited to, literacy, STEM, social justice in education, classroom management, family communication, and clinical practice supervision, with a strong emphasis on play‑based strategies and developmentally appropriate practices. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach a range of ECEC courses as assigned, maintain current teaching credentials, supervise and mentor teachers and student teachers, and contribute to program development and improvement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A M.A. degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent. Minimum of three years of highly successful teaching experience in P‑3 grades. Valid California Teaching Credential, Child Development Preschool Site Supervisor Permit, or equivalent from another state. Authorization to teach English learners (CLAD, BCLAD, etc). Prior experience in teacher supervision or mentoring teachers. Detailed knowledge of the California Teacher Performance Expectations for PK‑3. Detailed knowledge of the California Content Standards for all subjects. California driver’s license and transportation. Ability to maintain positive relationships with adult learners, school administrators, and teachers. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to speak, read and write a second language. Administrative experience at a school site. Training on the California Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA). Five years of teaching experience, preferably in various PK‑3 grade levels. Experience delivering teacher training, including modeling lessons for teachers. Prior higher education experience in teacher preparation or coursework development.
