Title: Performance Specialist

Location: Open (Local/nearby candidates preferred; must be able to travel to Smithfield, RI as needed - travel and accommodation will be covered)
Duration: 9 Months contract

Role Overview

Client is seeking a Performance Specialist to support its Performance Measurement & Analytics team, specifically aligned with the Custom SMA (Separately Managed Accounts) business.

This role is critical to maintaining continuity of client reporting, performance analytics, and marketing deliverables during a transition period following the retirement of a senior performance lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform portfolio performance calculations and ensure accuracy across client reporting
• Support custom SMA reporting and analytics deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage and validate performance data , ensuring consistency and integrity
• Partner with investment professionals, marketing teams, and technology teams
• Assist in creation and maintenance of client-ready reports and presentations
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of performance-related issues
• Maintain documentation of methodologies, processes, and reporting standards

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in investment performance measurement and analytics
• Solid understanding of performance calculations (e.g., returns, attribution, benchmarking)
• Experience working with SMA (Separately Managed Accounts) or similar investment products
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, data manipulation, reporting)
• Strong data management and validation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and investment professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance systems/tools (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, Eagle, etc.)
• Background in asset management, wealth management, or financial services
• Exposure to client reporting and marketing performance materials

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Travel to Smithfield, RI may be required occasionally
