Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab experience - Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience - Cardiac Stent Placement experience - Diagnostic Catheterizations in Adults experience - IABP Placement/Removal experience - Impella insertion experience - Interventional Catheterizations experience - Left heart catheterization experience - Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) experience - Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience - Right heart catheterization experience - Scrub Procedures experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - Antiarrhythmics and Antihypertensives knowledge - Emergency Medications knowledge - IV vasopressors knowledge - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring experience - Reversal agents knowledge - Thrombolytics knowledge - IV infusion pumps experience - Starting and maintaining IVs experience - Activated Clotting Time (ACT) knowledge - Cardioversion experience - Circulating Procedures experience - End-Tidal CO2 monitoring experience - Infection Prevention protocols knowledge - Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias experience - Isolation Precautions/PPE adherence experience - Monitoring Procedural Sedation experience - Sheath Removal/Monitoring experience - Topical Hemostasis experience Description: The position requires skills and certifications in various cardiac procedures. Candidates should have experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac services. The role includes managing patient care in a fast-paced environment. Nurses must be proficient in monitoring and administering medications during procedures. The ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team is essential. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float as needed is required. There will be a call rotation for this position. Candidates will work with various patient populations, primarily adults and geriatrics. Experience with specific procedures such as TAVR and angioplasty is preferred but not mandatory. Commitment to infection control and safety protocols is critical. Candidates should be prepared to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
