Systems Administrator (HOST Admin)

Job TitleSupports Roadside and host systems that are comprised of a combination of Linux, windows, Oracle and SQL databases. Responsible for trouble shooting and working with team members to identify and correct issues related to applications, databases and user accounts. Participates in access issues related to LDAP and Single Sign On (SSO) using administrative tools. Support users’ requests and issues on the Roadside and Host. Participates in after hour projects and support as required.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.ExperienceTypically has 3 to 5 years of IT work experience. Requires a high level of expertise in multiple system environments.SpecificsUnix: Users and computers, Sites and servicesOracle and SQL Database: Perform queries to select and update database entries, Understanding of database replicationExperience with Hardware configuration and troubleshooting, Work with Hardware vendors as required to resolve issuesWork with Vendors on software issues, Experience with access control protocolsLDAP and Apache Directory Studio, Single Sign On (SS0) Web AdministrationStrong attention to detail, Understanding Web Services for transaction deliveryCommunication skills, Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced usersDocumentation: Documenting processes in standardized format, Documenting work completedTime management skills, Ability to solve problems in stressful situationsAbility to work after hours and weekendsComplexity: Intermediate professional level role.
