About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to join its legal department. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer and the Chief Legal Officer to develop, implement, and administer all aspects of the company's compliance program. This includes ensuring compliance with a wide range of regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws, and OFAC programs, as well as state and federal requirements. The role also involves overseeing various compliance programs, providing guidance on fintech products and digital banking services, and partnering with different teams to assess and mitigate compliance risks. Applicants must have a JD and at least 10 years of experience in legal and compliance matters within the banking industry, with a preference for those with private practice experience. A CAMS certification is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance, particularly in the areas of fintech, digital banking, and technology-enabled financial services. Key skills include the ability to execute tasks with attention to detail, perform responsibilities with integrity, and supervise staff. The role requires the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to ensure organizational compliance with laws and regulations, coordinate audits and exams, and provide training to compliance and bank-wide personnel.
