Bakery Sales Associate (Full-Time or Part-Time)Position Summary

Asali is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Bakery Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting guests with bakery purchases, taking custom cake orders, preparing beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming café environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

• Greet every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cakes, pastries, desserts, beverages, and seasonal offerings.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience that reflects Asali's commitment to hospitality.
• Resolve customer questions or concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.

• Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with bakery and café inquiries.
• Take cake and dessert orders, accurately recording flavors, sizes, colors, inscriptions, pickup dates, and special requests.
• Communicate order details clearly with the bakery production team.
• Promote featured products, seasonal items, and add-on sales.

• Prepare tea, and other beverages according to company standards (training provided if needed).
• Package baked goods, cakes, and desserts carefully for customer pickup.
• Restock display cases, beverage stations, packaging supplies, and retail merchandise throughout the day.
• Rotate products using proper freshness and food safety procedures.
• Maintain attractive, fully stocked bakery displays.

• Open or close the bakery as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized front-of-house, dining area, and workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, beverage equipment, and food-contact surfaces.
• Assist with stocking, inventory counts, receiving deliveries, and light food preparation as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures.

• Previous retail, bakery, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette.
• Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn about Asali's products and provide knowledgeable recommendations.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced bakery and café environment.

• Full-Time or Part-Time Available
• Monday through Friday
• Shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM
• No evenings, weekends, or major holidays unless otherwise communicated for special events.
