Currently we are a mixed acuity (med surge/intermediate care) High-Risk Respiratory Unit. Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit provides professional skilled care to a diverse patient population, including cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, and neuro. SE 10 is currently a high-risk respiratory unit and will return to a neuro intermediate care unit when the MVH COVID number of patients decreases. SE 10 nurses are responsible for staffing the 36 HRRU/Covid beds and floating to the Neuro ICU. SE 10 staff are assigned appropriate patients within the Neuro ICU and are assigned a buddy.
