About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will serve as the CISO's senior operating partner, helping to run the day-to-day operations of the information security organization. This highly hands-on leadership role requires the ability to drive execution across various security, IT, cloud, compliance, and risk workstreams, ensuring that the security program is organized, measurable, and aligned with business needs. The Deputy CISO will be responsible for leading teams, making decisions, and representing the department across the business. They must have a strong background in cybersecurity, IT, security operations, and related technical leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing security programs and leading security teams. Applicants for the Deputy CISO position at the company should have at least 10 years' of experience in cybersecurity, IT, security operations, cloud security, compliance, risk, or related technical leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years' in people leadership. The role demands a candidate with a hands-on understanding of security, IT, cloud, compliance, privacy, and risk operating models, and a demonstrated ability to run a security department or major security program with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a strong security leader and operator, capable of moving between executive strategy, technical detail, and project execution. Experience in SaaS, cloud-first, managed security services, or technology-driven environments is preferred, as is familiarity with various security frameworks and standards. The Deputy CISO will be expected to drive continuous improvement, maintain security policies, and lead incident response activities. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with various stakeholders are essential.
