Dental Care Professional Louisville Metro Government offers a full-time position for a dental care professional. The salary is negotiable and the location is 2215 Portland Ave., Louisville, KY 40212, KY. The job number is 11982 (2540) and it belongs to the Family Health Center inthe Dental division. Description Characteristics of the work include performing professional dental care under general direction, providing dental care and oral hygiene services, and performing related work. Examples of Duties Examples of the work include performing dental examinations, diagnosing dental problems, developing treatment plans, scaling, root planning and polishing of teeth, removing diseased tissues, placing filling materials, administering anesthetic/analgesic drugs, prescribing medications, ensuring legible progress notes, performing triage and emergency treatment, supporting community dental care programs, participating in collaborative meetings, and adhering to universal precautions. Minimum Requirements A doctorate degree in Dental Medicine is required. Special requirements include being licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Kentucky and having and maintaining current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
