Junior Software DeveloperDuties include:Attending and actively participating in Scrum planning and Daily Scrum meetingsParticipating in all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle, including: Automation System and Test Requirements Elicitation, Automation Component Design, Code Implementation, Software Testing, and Software MaintenanceAutomating manual WiFi testcases written by the CPE Wireless Test EngineersCreating and updating database tablesWriting back-end script codeDeveloping User Interface (UI) featuresWriting Unit, Component, and Integration TestsMaintaining source codeSupporting the End UsersSupporting the mission of Wireless Access Engineering TeamEducation & Experience:B.S. Computer ScienceCollege Graduate to 3 yearsRequired Skillsets:*Optional, but nice to haveIn addition to the skillsets listed below, the candidate shall have an undergraduate-level understanding of basic Data Structures and Algorithms.Operating Systems:UNIX/LinuxProgramming Languages:PythonHTML 5JavaScriptDatabases:MySQL or Postgres SQLFrameworks:Django or other Model/View/Controller (MVC) framework*AjaxAngularJSComputer Assisted Software Engineering (CASE) Tools:Atlassian JIRA*Atlassian Bitbucket/Stash*Git*Software Engineering Methodologies:Understand and applies the Scientific MethodSoftware Development LifecycleAgile/ScrumUnified Modeling Language (UML)Proper Engineering ProcessSoft Skills:Passion for Computer Science, Software Development & Software EngineeringPositive AttitudeAttention to DetailAdvanced Proficiency in EnglishGood writing and communication skillsTravel:Light travel between the software development office and the building where the WiFi lab is housed is required; distance between both buildings is about 2.7 miles (6 minutes).
