Electrical Estimator

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in pricing and planning high-quality industrial and commercial electrical work. This is more than just numbers—you’ll collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to bring clarity and confidence to every proposal. What You’ll Do: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and job documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment. Consult with project managers, clients, vendors, engineers, architects, and field staff to clarify scope and resolve estimating questions. Prepare estimates for bid submissions, vendor selection, subcontractor quotes, and internal planning. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry contacts to ensure competitive pricing and dependable resources. Evaluate material and labor strategies to recommend the most cost-effective options—whether to self‑perform or subcontract. Identify and communicate margin strategy and pricing approach for each project to internal stakeholders. Set up estimating systems and cost‑tracking procedures to support accurate project review and forecasting. Conduct handoff meetings to transition projects to the field team (PMs, Foremen, Safety) using RSR’s project handoff form. Provide ongoing estimating support and subject matter expertise to the project team throughout project execution. Participate in project debriefs to evaluate performance, gather lessons learned, and implement process improvements. Prepare clear and professional electrical quotes for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. Ensure full proficiency in software platforms to develop and track estimates efficiently. Uphold all company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct expectations at all times. What You Bring: Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within industrial and commercial markets. Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices. Proficiency in Accubid, Vista, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. Detail‑oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills. Familiarity with contract documents, bid processes, supplier negotiations, and scope management. Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a high‑performance team. Commitment to continuous learning, safety, and professional growth. Design Build experience is a plus!
