Job Title: Cleanroom Technician / Assembler

Job Description

This position focuses on the precise mechanical assembly of cleanroom components within a manufacturing machine shop environment. You will interpret blueprints, assemble precision parts manually or with tools, perform deburring, install hardware, and conduct final quality inspections of welding components. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, careful handling of parts, and strict adherence to cleanliness and safety standards in support of a fast-paced, world-class manufacturing and technology operation.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble precision components accurately.

  • Manually and mechanically assemble parts and subassemblies according to specifications.

  • Perform deburring and finishing operations to ensure parts meet quality and safety standards.

  • Install and secure hardware and filler ribbons as required in the welding and assembly process.

  • Conduct thorough incoming inspections of parts to verify quality, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.

  • Carefully unbox and unbag parts, ensuring they are handled without damage or contamination.

  • Arrange, fit, and assemble components for welding, maintaining proper orientation and alignment.

  • Handle and stage parts for welding, ensuring they remain clean and free from defects.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of all parts during handling, assembly, and staging.

  • Properly package parts after assembly and welding to protect them during transport and storage.

  • Perform final quality inspections of welding components and assemblies to confirm conformance.

  • Use hand tools and related equipment safely and effectively during assembly tasks.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Collaborate with team members and support production goals to meet targets and deadlines.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of tasks performed, parts handled, and inspection results.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for assembling precision components.

  • Experience using hand tools in a production or assembly environment.

  • Capability to perform deburring, hardware installation, and basic finishing tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality assembly and inspection of parts.

  • Ability to handle, stage, and package parts carefully to prevent damage and contamination.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production deadlines.

  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work area.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in a production and assembly setting.

  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom-related environment and follow cleanliness protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing machine shop or similar industrial environment.

  • Background in cleanroom assembly or handling components requiring high levels of cleanliness.

  • Familiarity with welding-related processes such as staging parts and installing filler ribbons.

  • Exposure to quality management systems aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001:2008, or NADCAP standards.

  • Comfort working around noise, dust, and temperature variations within established safety limits.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and record-keeping skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing machine shop that can be loud and fast-paced, supporting advanced manufacturing and technology operations. You will work in a production setting with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations, while adhering to cleanroom-related cleanliness standards for parts and assemblies. The facility operates under AS9100, ISO 9001:2008, and NADCAP-aligned standards, emphasizing quality and process control. You will use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow established safety protocols at all times. The standard shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a structured schedule within a collegial and collaborative work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
