Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry

Location

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with rotational weekend commitments.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Neuro Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with neurological and telemetry needs, ensuring safe and effective monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with telemetry for cardiac and neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.
• Perform peripheral IV starts and assist with NGT and Foley insertions.
• Utilize the Meditech documentation system for charting and patient records.
• Adhere to unit floating policies as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted).
• 2+ years of hospital experience in telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Telemetry experience; NIH Stroke Scale knowledge preferred.
• Experience with neurological disorders, cardiac cases, or neuro-surgical patients is a plus.
