Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with night shifts and on-call or additional shift obligations every 6 weeks.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends required on an as-needed basis
• Requires either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Block scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required; pending license considered if obtained before start date
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 2 years preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests made after initial submission will not be considered
• A Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test must be passed on the first day of orientation; only one attempt is allowed
• Fit testing is required on-site and shaving may be required to pass; failure to comply will result in failing fit test requirements
• An attendance policy is in effect: missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without a reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
