Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. This role involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology labs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sterile technique, radiation safety, and procedural protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and assisting with documentation. This position requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with fluoroscopy is essential. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, including skin preparation and catheter insertion site preparation. Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) systems. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and report any changes to the physician. Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist with the documentation of procedures, including recording procedural data and patient information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Participate in on‑call rotation as required. Required Qualifications Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA‑approved school. ARRT registered. Current CPR certification. Ability to assume on‑call responsibilities. Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20, including color vision when applicable. Ability to hear (with or without aids). Ability to orally communicate. Good manual dexterity. Ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand and walk frequently. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently. Ability to perform CPR (if required for position). Preferred Qualifications Previous scrub experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures. Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices. Experience with fluoroscopy equipment. Strong understanding of sterile technique. Ability to monitor patient vital signs and recognize abnormalities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
