Summary ProjectManagersprovidetechnicalsupervisionandmanagementofprojectsassignedtothemaswellasdirectingdaytodaytechnicalrequirementsofstaff.Theyprepareportionsofcontractproposalestimatesforoneormoredisciplines,includingthedeterminationofapplicableprojectplansandspecifications.Underminimumsupervisionwhenestimatingowndiscipline.Managesproductionprofitabilityandimplementsqualitycontrolproceduresandisaneffectiveliaisonwithclients. Qualifications 4YearDegreeorequivalentcombinationsoftechnicaltrainingandorexperience. Advancedknowledgeofassigneddiscipline,estimatingtechniquesandcostcontrol,plusabilitytointerpretcomputerizedcostdataandsystemsessential. Aminimumoften(10)yearsofsuccessfulmanagerialexperienceonConstructionprogramsandprojectsthatprovidedmaintenance,engineeringandlogisticssupportofDepartmentofDefenseandMilitaryfacilities. SuperiorunderstandingofPlanning,ProgrammingandBudgetingSystemandprovenabilityinfiscalandbusinessmanagement. KnowledgeofandexperienceinplanningandexecutingQuickReactionCapability(QRC). TheabilitytocorrectlyinterpretanddirecttheaccomplishmentofFirmFixedBasedandPerformanceBasedcontractrequirements. Experienceinthedevelopment,collection,analysisandreportingofpersonnelrequirements, configurationmanagement,qualityassurance,engineering,safety,andmaintenanceactivities. FamiliaritywithconstructionplanningandProgrammingandregulationsgoverningpersonnelspaceallocationandusage. Skilledbriefer.FluentintheEnglishlanguage. ValidDriver’sLicenseandtraveltojobsites. KnowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeSuitetoincludeMicrosoftProject StrongOrganizationalSkills Understandhowtoreadschedules.I.e.:Gantt,NetworkDiagram,CPM Excellentoralandwrittencommunicationskills. Abilitytoworkwellunderpressure. Mustbeabletoreadandunderstanddrawingsandspecifications EssentialFunctions: Responsiblefortheperformanceofmanagementformultipleprojectsinaccordancewithcontractrequirements,appropriatepolicies,procedures,andguidelines.Directsandsupervisesallsupportresourcesfortheperformanceofprojectassignmentsandactivities.Managesthetechnicaldirectionofaprojectthroughtheestimating,design,implementation,andcloseoutinaccordancewithprojectobjectives. Reviewclientprovidedspecifications,clientneedstatement,orperformancestandardsanddrawingstodeterminescopeofworkandrequiredcontentsofestimate. Preparedisciplineestimatesbycalculatingcompletetakeoffofscopeofwork. Mayreviewdesignoptionsandrecommendbestsolutionsbasedoncost,engineeringquality,oravailabilityofmaterials. Optimizesoperatingresultsintermsofcost,methods,andpersonnelandimplementsqualityassurance/safetyprogramdirectives.Maintainingfilesofworkingdocumentsasback-upforestimatefigures,includingpricingfromsuppliers,salesbrochures,pricelists,etc. Leadsindefiningandimplementationofprojectschedules,updatesschedulesasrequiredandperformsschedulecompressionorcrashingaswarranted. CoordinateswiththecontractCOoncontractrequirementsandconcernsasneeded. Trainsanddirectsemployeesworkactivities.Signstimesheets,preparesperformancereviews,handlesdisciplineproblemsandhasinputtohiringandfiring. Abletoperformalldutiestoensuretimely,courteous,andqualitysupporttocustomers/affiliates. Provideweeklyupdatesofprogram/projectleveltoseniormanagement. Preparetimeimpactanalysiswiththescheduleronaprogramlevel. ProvidemonthlyCPMcostloadedupdatestotheseniormanagementforinvoicing. Maintainscontinuityamongcorporate,divisionandlocalworkteamsbydocumentingandcommunicatingactions,irregularities,andcontinuingneeds. Optimizesoperatingresultsintermsofcost,methods,andpersonnel. Assurestheperformance,completenessandaccuracyofworkassignedunderthecontract. CoordinateswiththeSeniorManagementoncontractrequirementsandconcerns. Negotiates,creates,implements,andManagessubcontracts. Managesbudgetatorbelowbudget. Obtaincustomerperformanceevaluationforeachprojectthatiscompleted. Otherdutiesasassigned.
