Responsibilities The role provides newborn care in a high‑acuity environment with autonomy, collaboration, and support. Flexible scheduling designed to support long‑term work‑life balance 8‑hour daytime shifts—no deliveries, no overnight call Daily responsibilities include newborn nursery rounding, supervising family medicine residents, and performing circumcisions Robust, High‑Acuity Practice 25‑bed Level III NICU (ADC: 17) 36‑bed Newborn Nursery (ADC: 14) ~ 3,500 annual deliveries Care for all gestational ages (excluding surgical cases) Advanced services include body cooling, oscillators, and a dedicated RN/RT‑staffed regional transport team Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Team Work alongside experienced neonatologists, NNPs, OB hospitalists, MFM specialists, and telehealth subspecialists Opportunities to teach and mentor university of central florida family medicine residents Facility Highlights hca florida north florida hospital – a 523‑bed, full‑service, award‑winning HCA facility State‑of‑the‑art NICU, newly opened in 2021 A growing women’s & children’s program with strong institutional support Benefits and Compensation our clinicians enjoy a competitive compensation package, with many locations offering sign‑on bonuses and relocation. benefits offered include, but are not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, healthcare fsa, dependent care fsa and hsas, as well as a 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase program. some benefits are provided at no cost, while others require a cost share between employees and the company.
