Starting rate of $26 per hour (wages negotiable with experience in precast and/or construction industry)

Health benefits provided upon first day of work making for an easy transition.

5am shift start time, end time varies based on production needs (typically 8-10 hour workday)

Position Description

Job Summary:

As a Quality Control Crew Member, you are responsible for ensuring dimensional conformance, confirming proper overall setup and completing required quality control documentation of our precast product. Dailey Precast utilizes electronic shop drawings consisting of a 3D model of components being constructed as well as a laser projection system to assist with setup processes. QC members utilize laptops or tablets to conduct their quality inspections along with inspection tools (tape measure, square, level, etc) and the laser system. QC members document results electronically for record keeping and to help identify improvement opportunities.

Essential Functions:

1. Protect family and friends. Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and guidelines. Upon start of work be prepared with proper PPE.

2. Ownership and caring. Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

3. Dedication. Properly conduct quality inspections and document findings following company procedures.

4. Focused. Review all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with established standards, company policies and procedures.

5. Communicate. Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team or employees. Organize and present findings through documentation for all aspects of quality

6. Innovation. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.

7. Results matter. Obtain corrective actions and procedures from Engineering for correcting non-conforming assemblies and products. Communicate with the Team any significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken for improvement.

8. Mastery. Maintain a working knowledge of PCI and industry quality assurance codes and standards, daily reports, record keeping and filing.

9. Obligated. Ensure a clean and organized work area inclusive of all QC Laboratory equipment and tools.

Position Requirements

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. Experience working in the manufacturing/construction environment, preferred

2. Quality Control experience, preferred - will train the right individual

3. High School Diploma or GED required, some college or technical school preferred

4. Proficient verbal and written English

5. Legal right to work in the U.S.

6. Basic Computer skills, required - Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms, preferred

7. ACI Concrete Field-Testing Grade I & / or PCI Level I/II certifications, required after hire (ACI certifications for Grade level I will be required to move into level II job).

Travel:

Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This position works primarily indoors but occasional outside work will be required. Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
