By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, IND US continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice./ppReporting to the Program Manager, the Munitions Destroyer performs tasks related to the demilitarization, inspection, storage, transportation, and accountability of munitions and associated components in accordance with established safety, environmental, and compliance standards. The role supports the Ammunition Demilitarization Operations team and requires strict adherence to regulatory requirements and depot procedures./ppThis is a contingent position expected to be located in Hawthorne, NV. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliPerform manual, technical, and mechanically assisted duties related to the destruction, processing, inspection, and maintenance of explosive ordnance items and components./liliOperate and maintain equipment in support of demilitarization and production operations, including melt kettles, hydraulic presses, grit blast machines, ovens, and electrostatic paint systems./liliSupport accountability of all munitions and components, including accurate documentation, discrepancy reporting, and use of systems such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and AIT scanning tools./liliFollow and enforce applicable safety, environmental, and explosive handling regulations, including adherence to explosive limits and EPA waste handling requirements./liliMaintain a clean, organized, and secure work area; assist with general housekeeping duties within explosive operations facilities./liliOperate mobile equipment such as forklifts, vehicles, and material handling equipment to support movement of personnel, tools, and ammunition components./liliReport potential safety and environmental hazards to leadership and participate in required safety briefings and training./liliSupport emergency drills, contingency responses, and depot-wide operational requirements as directed./liliBid and proposal support if requested./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh3What Were Looking For/h3pRequired Qualifications:/pulliAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) clearance./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain a favorable NCIC III background check./liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required./liliMunitions Destroyer Certification required./liliFour (4) years of relevant experience required./liliValid state drivers license required./liliKnowledge of basic mathematics and electronics./liliMust be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities./liliThe ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision.
