Louisville Honda World Job Description Job Title: Cashier Department: Service Reports To: Service Managers Summary A Cashier is always polite, flexible and accommodating. The Cashier should be knowledgeable about the company and what it offers to guests. In addition, the cashier is familiar with special Dealer events and listens to the requests made by guests, offering solutions or recommendations tailored to their needs. Essential Duties Greet all customers entering the Waiting Lobby area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answer their questions, and direct/take them to the appropriate person or location. Refer customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc., to the service advisor or other appropriate individual. Maintain a clean and tidy Customer Lounge, including straightening newspapers, magazines, maintaining the Coffee/Refreshment area and necessary supplies/condiments; clean up spills and operate vacuum cleaner as necessary; monitor TVs and adjust channels as needed to appropriate viewing content. Engage in conversation with customers to ensure they are comfortable and that their needs are met, always asking if they are completely satisfied and if their Advisors are taking care of and updating them on the progress of their vehicle repairs. Cashier Duties Greet customers at the cashier desk in a pleasant and professional manner. Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; record amounts received. Make change and issue receipts to customers. Provide cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
