Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3x12 also considered) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Participate in on-call and holiday rotation as required by the unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as directed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and September

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests submitted after submission will not be accepted
• Candidates who are available to work holidays are a priority

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in a Medical Surgical setting
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• SC RN license already in hand is preferred at time of submission
