Tax Accountant

An established CPA firm is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys tax work, client interaction, and being part of a collaborative, relationship-focused firm.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
Handle federal, state, and multi-state tax filings.
Assist clients with year-round tax planning and compliance.
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
Work with a variety of business owners, individuals, and closely held companies.
Research tax issues and stay current on changes to federal and state tax regulations.
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, documentation, and planning opportunities.
Assist with accounting cleanup, reconciliations, and other client accounting needs as necessary.
Collaborate with firm leadership and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of client work.
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and provide a high level of service.

Qualifications:

5+ years of tax and accounting experience.
Strong experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience working within a CPA firm or public accounting environment strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
Experience with accounting and tax software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

$65,000–$90,000 salary based on experience.
