Field Service Technician

divh2Field Service Technician/h2pAs a field service technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated machinery and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Work to be performed at the lowest cost consistent with quality standards, design requirements, and completion schedules./ppEssential/pulliSet up and configure new automation machinery, ensuring all systems are operational and meet performance standards./liliDiagnose and resolve issues with automated systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software problems./liliConduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to keep machinery in top condition./liliWork closely with engineers to understand project requirements and provide technical support./liliMaintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance./liliTrain other technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment./liliCommunicate problems to supervisor or purchasing agent in a timely manner./liliAnticipate requirements and requisition needed components using historical knowledge and the production schedule./liliWork as a team to maximize productivity and quality./liliMaintain orderly work area and cleanup work area at the end of the day./liliBe consistently at work and punctual; clock job times accurately./liliParticipate in continuous improvement efforts./liliDemonstrate application of acquired knowledge from Lean training./liliParticipate in job reviews when appropriate./liliObserve company policy, safety, and security procedures./liliPerform all activities in conformance with the Quality System and ISO procedures./li/ulpRequirements/pulliStrong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems./liliProficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)./liliExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities./liliAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematics./liliGood communication skills and ability to work in a team./liliAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers./liliAbility to manage schedules efficiently and meet service call deadlines./liliAbility to travel domestically and internationally to customer site./liliValid drivers license and US passport./li/ulpWork Environment/pulliFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts./liliModerate noise level./li/ulpPhysical Demands/pulliRegularly required to use hands for a variety of tasks./liliMust be able to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear./liliAbility to walk, stand and sit, occasionally to climb, balance, stoop, kneel./liliFrequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds./liliGood vision and eye / hand coordination./li/ulpPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work/ppThis is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when working onsite.
