Supervises employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and/or transmission systems for a geographic area or metro service facility.ONE Gas provides natural gas distribution services to more than 2.3 million customers in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. (Minimum of five years’ relevant experience is required). Previous leadership experience is not required.Experience with and working knowledge of the construction, maintenance, appurtenances, and operation of pipeline systems related to natural gas distribution systems.Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and related software.Application of basic math and algebraic formulas.Demonstrated ability to coordinate work projects for most effective use of personnel and equipment.Experience and training related to:Distribution pipeline operation (specified by position)Transmission pipeline operation (specified by position)Company/governmental operating and safety proceduresEmergency response proceduresCommunications skillsCustomer service functionsDemonstrated ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies, operator qualifications and procedures.Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively.Demonstrated ability to train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.Demonstrated ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports, and correspondence.Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.Licenses and CertificationsRequired applicable driver's license to travel to job sites throughout operating service areaRequired National Association of Corrosion Engineer (NACE) Certification (as specified by position)Required CDL eligible in Kansas - must obtain CDL within 6 monthsPreferred CDL in Oklahoma and TexasAdditional RequirementsMobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.Able to assist crew members in performance of routine and/or emergency activities such as construction and maintenance; leakage detection and repair; and corrosion control.
