Technical Trainer

Our client is seeking a Technical Product Trainer to serve as a key technical resource supporting customers, sales teams, and field service personnel. This highly visible role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and training leadership to ensure customers maximize the value of their equipment while strengthening long-term relationships.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional who enjoys educating others, solving problems, and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Serve as the primary technical training resource for customers, sales teams, and service personnel
  • Deliver product training programs that increase customer knowledge, product adoption, and overall satisfaction
  • Support the sales organization by providing technical expertise throughout the sales process
  • Assist customers with equipment installation, configuration, startup, and troubleshooting
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to product performance and field applications
  • Ensure compliance with warranty, service, and operational procedures through customer education and support
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through ongoing engagement and technical consultation
  • Gather customer feedback and provide valuable insights to engineering and product development teams
  • Support customer retention efforts by delivering exceptional service experiences
  • Participate in customer events, appreciation programs, and relationship-building initiatives
  • Facilitate facility tours and product demonstrations for customers and industry partners

Projects You'll Work On

  • Developing and delivering technical training programs for customers and internal teams
  • Supporting new product launches and customer implementation efforts
  • Improving customer adoption and utilization of equipment and product features
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to provide field feedback and identify product enhancements
  • Assisting with warranty and service process improvements
  • Showcasing manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise during customer visits and plant tours
  • Strengthening customer engagement through educational programs and technical support initiatives

What Experience You Should Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience within HVAC/R, mechanical systems, water heating, industrial equipment, or related industries
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical support, training, field service, or applications role
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with mechanical and electromechanical systems
  • Experience conducting technical training, product demonstrations, or customer education programs
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience supporting product installations, startup activities, and field service operations
  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC/R, mechanical systems, or a related discipline preferred
