Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Psychiatric Adolescent Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 x 12 Hours per Shift: Flexibility to change days with census demands Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required Must-Have: Graduate of an approved Nursing program required. 1-3 years of previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred. Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or must be obtained before completion of orientation. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be obtained before completion of orientation. Ability to work well in high-stress situations. Responsible, supportive team player. Description: The RN is an essential member of the Patient Care Team. The RN is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The RN delegates interventions that may be performed by others and supervises as appropriate. The RN assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care. The RN provides education to patients and families. The RN collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care. Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract. Candidates must reside outside of a 50-mile radius. Holiday coverage is required.
