NOCO Environmental is hiring an experienced CDL-A or CDL-B Environmental Driver in Buffalo, New York to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials while supporting environmental cleanup, remediation, spill response, decontamination, and industrial service projects.

What You'll Do:

This is a hands-on CDL position where driving is only part of the job.

You'll:

• Safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials
• Operate roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, box vans, and other commercial vehicles
• Support environmental technicians at job sites
• Respond to routine and emergency environmental service calls
• Assist with oil spills and environmental cleanup
• Handle drums and waste materials
• Assist with site and equipment decontamination
• Perform high-pressure washing
• Perform sweeping, shoveling, and other hands-on remediation work
• Work in confined spaces, including tanks and manholes
• Follow all NOCO, DOT, environmental, and job-site safety requirements
• Get Out of the Truck & Into the Field

Previous equipment experience is valuable, but we're primarily looking for drivers who are safe, dependable, flexible, and willing to work alongside the crew.

Driver Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for keeping your vehicle, equipment, and documentation ready for the job, including:

• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Checking fluids, tires, equipment, tools, and supplies
• Maintaining required DOT and company documentation
• Completing daily logs and time sheets accurately
• Identifying and reporting vehicle or equipment concerns
• Reporting hazards, defects, and unusual conditions
• Maintaining safe and professional driving practices
• Providing professional service at customer locations

CDL Requirements – What You Need:

REQUIRED:

Valid Class B CDL

• Class A CDL preferred
• Hazmat endorsement
• Tanker endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Class A or Class B commercial driving experience
• Ability to operate a manual-transmission commercial vehicle
• Clean and acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet applicable DOT background and drug-screening requirements

Preferred Experience & Certifications:

Candidates with the following experience are especially encouraged to apply:

• 40-Hour HAZWOPER
• Confined Space Entry certification
• Environmental services or remediation experience
• Vacuum truck experience
• Roll-off truck experience
• Industrial or heavy-equipment experience
• Spill-response or environmental-cleanup experience

Physical & Field Requirements:

• This is an active, hands-on field position. You must be willing and able to:
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Sit in a commercial vehicle for extended periods
• Perform physical work outside the truck
• Work outdoors in varying Buffalo weather conditions
• Work around fuels, fumes, and potentially hazardous or caustic materials
• Work in confined spaces
• Work at elevated heights when required
• Wear all required PPE
• Wear a respirator when required
• Remain clean-shaven when necessary to achieve a proper respirator seal

Schedule & Emergency Response:

Environmental work doesn't always happen on a predictable schedule.

Drivers must be willing to:

• Respond to emergency and unscheduled service calls
• Participate in a rotating weekend schedule
• Work occasional weekends
• Adapt to changing schedules based on customer and emergency-response needs
