Machinist - Very Urgent Need

Position: Machinist - Urgent Need Location: Boston, Andover, Lowell, Lawrence, MA The schedule would be M-F 7:30 am-4:00 pm. We are looking to have this be temp to perm. Job Overview The Machinist is an overtime-eligible, skilled craft position responsible for manufacturing precision parts that meet or exceed our standards, with minimal supervision. Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the Machinist operates various equipment, determines machining operations, and ensures high-quality production. Key Responsibilities Operate manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision. Select tooling, make setups, and develop machining processes. Maintain accurate records of work performance and processes. Conduct inspections at various stages of production. Work from drawings, sketches, or instructions with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 5-10 years of machining experience or equivalent training. Ability to operate and adjust PROTO-TRAK machines. Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup. Adherence to safety policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of CNC 'G & M' codes and Fadal or Haas controllers. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
