Job Opportunity: Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon

We are looking for a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to take on a locum tenens role in Kentucky. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a well-established cardiac surgery program, which includes dedicated cardiac anesthesia, first assist support, and access to a hybrid operating room.

Assignment Highlights

• Board Certification Required
• 24-hour call coverage (from 7 AM to 7 AM)
• Specific assignment dates: December 24 to January 4, with shifts available each month
• Experience with EPIC EMR is necessary

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform adult cardiac surgeries
• Conduct Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Execute valve repair and replacement procedures
• Manage ICU care for high-risk cardiac patients
• Experience with Impella support is essential
• Provide coverage for structural heart procedures
• Thoracic surgery experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Qualifications

• Must be a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
• Current BLS Certification is required
• Must have a clean background history
• Kentucky medical license preferred (candidates willing to obtain licensure are encouraged to apply)

Coverage is needed for the following dates:

• December 24-28, 2026
• December 28, 2026, through January 4, 2027

Additional Information

• Approximate credentialing timeframe: 90 days
