Position Overview

This is a night shift position with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and travel experience. Local candidates will not be accepted. All requests for time off (RTO) should be submitted with your profile. Please avoid requesting time off during holidays.

• Patient Ratios: 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend Coverage: Yes (Every other weekend)
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 27 patients
• Rooms: 32
• Patient Diagnoses: The unit primarily handles various post-surgical patients, including those recovering from robotic and laparoscopic procedures such as bariatric surgery, colon resections, thyroidectomies, hernia repairs, appendectomies, gallbladder surgeries, and issues related to biliary conditions. Med-Surg patients may also be accommodated, though there is a strong emphasis on post-surgical cases.
• Interdisciplinary Support Available: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation.

Orientation and Training

Orientation consists of:

• Day 1: Virtual session
• Day 2: On-site training
• Day 3: On-site additional training along with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) education

Participants will complete up to 2 hours of pre-start modules, which are billable. The average completion time for modules is around 3 hours, and progress will be tracked through transcripts.
