Position Summary

The Clinical Faculty Physician is a Physician with special training and experience in illness assessment and management. He/she has the ability to determine patient status and provide evaluation and treatment must be American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Supervises clinical training of Family Medicine residents in the hospital’s residency program.

• Evaluates learning process of Family Medicine residents, identifies needs and strives to maximize learning opportunities.
• Conducts teaching rounds with Family Medicine residents in the hospital’s residency program.
• Participates in Morning Report where residents can present and review all appropriate cases.
• Provides supervision of Residents in the Residency continuity clinic.
• Provides supervision and training of medical students.
• Completed rotation end performance evaluation for residents and medical students.
• Curriculum Director as assigned by Program Director.
• Serves as Advisor for assigned residents.
• Serves as admitting physician for Family Medicine Teaching Service as assigned. The schedule of calls will be established by the Program Director.
• Supervises maternity care of resident continuity obstetric patients.
