Position Summary

Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13 week travel assignment in Palmer, AK, starting June 29. The OR RN will function primarily as a circulator, providing perioperative nursing care across general, orthopedic, spine, vascular, and urology cases, and will support the surgical team with high standards of sterile technique, patient safety, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as circulator for general, ortho, spine, vascular, and urology procedures.
• Prepare OR and instruments, verify counts, and maintain sterile field.
• Monitor patient status, assist with positioning, and coordinate intraoperative care.
• Anticipate surgeon needs, manage supplies and implants, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Provide handoffs and accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Support post‑op transfer and collaborate with anesthesia, perfusion, and PACU staff.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience as an OR circulator with demonstrated competency in general, orthopedic, spine, vascular, and urology cases.
• Active Alaska RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS current.
• Strong clinical judgment, sterile technique, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to comply with facility onboarding, credentialing, and orientation requirements.
