Clinical Research Coordinator I - Genetics Clinical Trials

The Clinical Research Coordinator assists in the daily activities of clinical research studies, obtains informed consent, collects, maintains, and organizes study information, and assists in preparing grant applications and related documents. Responsibilities Educating patients regarding study requirements and obtaining informed consent from research participants Collecting study data, entering data, and maintaining research databases Assisting in the collection, analysis, and review of experimental data for publication and presentation Recruiting participants for clinical research studies Preparing and submitting research protocols and other regulatory documents to Institutional Review Boards Maintaining source documents and subject files in accordance with Mount Sinai policies, ensuring accurate, confidential, and complete data compilation Collecting and shipping biospecimens Preparing for site visits from clinical research monitors, auditors, and regulatory agencies Serving as a liaison between patients, clinical research organizations, sponsors, grants team, Institutional Review Boards, and the research team Attending research team meetings and conferences as needed Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or closely related field No experience required; one year of research experience preferred Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with patients and diverse populations Organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills Ability to work independently with careful attention to detail Experience with clinical trial management systems (e.g., OnCore) a plus Experience with electronic medical records systems (e.g., Epic) a plus Experience with electronic regulatory binders a plus Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range of $58,661 – $73,530 annually.
