Material HandlerWe are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler for a steel manufacturing facility located in Hammond, IN. This role involves manual handling of steel materials, requiring physical strength, accuracy, and basic mathematical skills to ensure materials are processed and staged correctly.Key ResponsibilitiesManually load, unload, move, and stage steel materialsAccurately measure, count, and verify materials using basic math skillsRead and follow work orders, packing slips, and inventory documentsPerform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks throughout the shiftMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety procedures and company policiesSupport shipping, receiving, and production operations as neededQualificationsPrevious warehouse, manufacturing, or steel industry experience preferredAbility to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs) on a regular basisBasic mathematical skills required (counting, measuring, verifying quantities)Strong attention to detail and commitment to safetyReliable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work in an industrial steel environmentPay Rate: $19/hour (Temp-to-Hire Incentives)Location: Hammond, IllinoisShift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift (Currently training on 1st shift)Employment Type: Temp to Hire W2
