Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Days)

Location

Sioux City, IA | Acute Care (Level 3 Trauma Center)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Expected 36–40 hours/week; overtime may be available after 40 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as a member of the interdisciplinary care team in the provision and management of patient care
• Provide nursing care to a Medical Surgical / Telemetry patient population, including Neuro/Ortho and general Med-Surg patients, at a patient ratio of 6:1
• Administer and monitor Heparin therapy in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to other Med-Surg units and, as needed, across local campuses within the same discipline
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of Med-Surg / Telemetry RN experience
• Demonstrated experience with Heparin administration — required
• Active Iowa RN license or compact nursing license (must reflect Active status via Nursys verification)
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates also accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification — required
• Valid Driver's License required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on Driver's License address to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro and/or Orthopedic patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
